Terms & Conditions

1. Please check the rules below if you wish to enter the Fonteyn Competition Grand Draw. 

2. The Promoter of the Grand Draw 2024 is The Royal Academy of Dance (Registered Charity Number: 312826). Responsible Person: Ash Sharma. The Royal Academy of Dance, 188 York Rd, London SW11 3JZ. 

3. RAD is assisted by The Small Society Lotteries (registration of non- commercial societies) regulations 2007. Gambling Act 2005.  

4. By entering the Grand Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. All profits from the Grand Draw go to The Royal Academy of Dance.  

ENTRIES 

7. The cost of each entry in the Grand Draw is £5.00. 

8. Players may purchase more than one entry into each Grand Draw, and payment must be received (and cleared) in advance of each draw through one of the available channels.  

9. No refunds will be allowed after entries have been received, paid for and entered into the draw. 

10. Entries must not be sold by or to anyone under 18 years of age; underage play is an offence. 

11. To enter the Grand Draw online, an entrant must declare that they are 18 years old or over, provide their date of birth and address or contact details and make a payment for their entries. 

12. The Royal Academy of Dance reserves the right to carry out random age verification checks at any reasonable time either by direct contact with players or by using information from proprietary credit agencies or other similar third-party agencies as it deems is necessary at the time. 

13. For any entrant who is found to be under the required age, any payments they have made will be returned, they will not be entered into any future draws and their right to any prize will be forfeited. 

14. Entries can only be purchased by individual’s resident in Great Britain; any persons directly involved in managing or conducting the Grand Draw are not permitted to enter. 

15. Players can only purchase entries online, using a debit card subject to providing the required personal data.  

16. The Royal Academy of Dance reserves the right to confirm that the entry criteria are met. The Royal Academy of Dance reserves the right to refuse entry into any Grand Draw where they determine that a person does not to meet these criteria or otherwise has not complied with these lottery rules. Any decision of The Royal Academy of Dance in this regard will be final and binding and the person will not be entered into The Royal Academy of Dance's Grand Draw.  

17. Players must be available on Sunday 8 September to attend the Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition final at His Majesty’s Theatre, Haymarket, London, SW1Y 4QLX. 

18. The prize consists of one pair of tickets only.  

19. RAD cannot be held responsible for missed or misdirected email communications.  

DRAW AND ENTRY CUT-OFF DATES 

20. The Grand Draw will close at midnight on Friday 23 August 2024. 

21. The Grand Draw will be drawn on Tuesday 27 August 2024.  

DRAW PROCESS 

22. Grand Draw winners are selected using a random number generator, tested, and approved by The Royal Academy of Dance to select a electronic ticket winner.  

WINNERS & RESULTS 

23. The winner will be selected from all valid entries received by the cut-off date. Any entries received after the cut-off date will not be entered into the Grand Draw. 

24. The winner will be individually notified within 2 working days from the draw date using the contact details provided at the time of entry. 

25. RAD may request to use the winner’s name, photograph and other reasonable details for publicity purposes.  

26. There is no monetary exchange value for the prize. 

 

DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY 

27. RAD UK will collect and process participants’ personal information in order to conduct the Grand Draw.  

28. Players’ names and other personal details from their entry to the Grand Draw will be collected and stored RAD and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy.  

 

GENERAL 

29. RAD reserves the right to suspend, postpone or terminate the Grand Draw at any time and without prior notice. RAD will inform players in the event of a decision to suspend, postpone or terminate the Grand Draw. Where the Grand Draw is terminated, all payments for entries into the terminated draw will be refunded.
